Centro veterinario Buonamano (Ascona)

The veterinary office has been in operation since April 2005, is functionally structured and welcoming, equipped with modern diagnostic equipment (radiography, sonography, ...), a consultation room , a laboratory (microscopy, complete blood/faeces analysis, serology, ...) and an operating room (operations in general, dental).

We also offer specific dietary consultations based on any diseases present, the possibility of hospitalization in case the severity of the patient requires it.

Operations / Dentistry

We perform soft tissue surgeries (castrations, tumors, internal organs, urinary tract, ...) and simple orthopedic surgeries, for complex orthopedic surgeries we refer to specialized clinics. For dentistry we do scaling and polishing with braces or manual and perform minor extraction surgeries.

Internal Medicine

We have the ability to perform in-house main blood tests (hematology, bio-chemistry, thyroid), urine/ stool, specific serologic tests in a few minutes, for special tests we have qualified external laboratories that we refer to.

• Serological analyses (FIV, FeLV, Corona, Angiostrongylus, specific pancreatic enzymes, ...)
• Urinalysis (combur 9, sediment, specific gravity)
• Stool analysis (worms, giardia)

Digital radiology

• analysis of chest, abdomen, skeletal structures
• contrast studies
• official radiographs for hip/elbow dysplasia

Sonography

• Basic checkup of internal organs (prostate, bladder, intestines, spleen, kidneys, stomach, liver, ...)

Hospitalization

In case of problems requiring intensive care, we have the option of hospitalizing patients under our care

Food counseling and Petshop

Depending on the diseases we have specific foods suitable to support or prevent. The main brands are Royal Canin and Purina, with some products also from Hill`s and Specific.

• Hygiene products (teeth, ears, skin/hair)
