History/Philosophy At the beginning of 2002, Daniel Cantieni and Moritz Schnewlin took over the TAU veterinary practice in Au ZH from the practice founders Urs and Vreni Jenny. Since then, the practice has been run as a mixed practice with a focus on dogs, cats and horses by a team of four veterinarians.

24h emergency Our 24-hour emergency service is available 365 days a year.
We kindly ask you to call us in advance and inform us about your emergency. This way we can prepare ourselves optimally for you and your animal.
Home visits have the disadvantage that any necessary examinations and clarifications cannot be made outside the clinic. For this reason, we clearly recommend bringing the animal to the clinic in case of emergency.

In-house laboratory We have the most modern analysis equipment to be able to examine various samples immediately in our clinic. This saves time, especially for critically ill patients, and enables a faster diagnosis. We can analyze blood, urine and fecal samples. For special examinations such as histology and special blood tests, we cooperate with external, specialized laboratories.

Water treadmill In physiotherapy, the underwater treadmill helps to build up weakened muscles and to treat them in a way that is easy on the joints. Especially in rehabilitation after orthopedic operations such as cruciate ligament ruptures, patellar luxations and herniated discs, the underwater treadmill is often used. In addition, the aquatrainer can be used to train overweight dogs, sports dogs to enhance performance.

Medication robot In our new pharmacy in Feusisberg we work with the help of a robot. It is part of a state-of-the-art logistics system from the company Rowa. The robot scans the medicines (EAN barcode), stores them and passes them on to the reception area via conveyor technology. The system ensures fast work processes and offers the highest possible security. In addition, it allows an improvement in the quality of advice, as interruptions due to searches for medications are eliminated.

X-ray Direct digital X-ray enables the production of unique quality X-ray images. The images are available within a few seconds as a digital image on all workstations in the clinic and can thus be optimally evaluated by the radiologist. The X-ray images of our patients are stored directly in the medical history and can be accessed anywhere at any time. We also offer you the possibility to view the images at home on your computer.

CT The examination by means of computer tomography makes it possible to produce images of bones, soft tissues such as the liver, lungs and special regions (brain, spine) within a very short time (seconds to minutes). Sections of the body region are made, enabling the physician to view the examined area in all three planes. 3D models can also be generated, allowing for optimal viewing. Patients require a short anesthesia for the CT examination.

Ultrasound Ultrasound is frequently used as a diagnostic tool. Its simple, non-invasive application in all areas of veterinary medicine makes ultrasound examination irreplaceable in small animals and horses. Ultrasound can be used to examine all organs (urinary bladder, kidneys, heart and thyroid gland, etc.), detect pregnancy, take samples (e.g. in tumor diagnostics) and clarify lameness in the tendon area.
